Seek To Be Wise

To my friends,

Thank you for reading my book and my blog, and allowing me to share my thoughts with you. I am grateful and honored that you are spending your valuable time with me. I pray it is time well spent.

As many of you may know, after retiring from a successful 36-year career in Financial Services, I spent time reflecting on what had helped me in life. This exercise inspired me to write my first book: Seek To Be Wise- Finding Extraordinary Wisdom In Everyday Life. I am now a part of a team expanding and reinforcing this message with our blog and website.

As a young kid, I loved the Bible story of Solomon. God appeared to Solomon in a dream and asked Solomon what he should give him. He could have asked for anything, from money to power to fame, but he asked for wisdom. As a kid, I would contemplate if Solomon asked for the right thing. What would I have asked for?

Growing up, I spent time playing out in my mind every scenario I could imagine. I could not come up with a better answer. Those thoughts as a child are the basis for my search for wisdom. Now as a 65-year old kid, I am more convinced than ever that he made the perfect choice.

Regardless of your religious beliefs or your background, I would ask you to consider the impact of wisdom on your life. In my life, the wiser I become, the more alive I am.

Whatever you seek in life, wisdom will lead you in the right direction. Do you want financial, business, personal or spiritual success? The most useful lasting guidance I have received in all aspects of life has been grounded in wisdom. Life is always teaching us. Are we wise enough to listen, learn and take the action necessary to make today better than yesterday?

As I continue my journey to Seek To Be Wise, I am led to plant seeds of wisdom and share my thoughts and life experiences with others. My hope is to shine my small light in such a way that it brightens a path to help others on their life’s journey.

We are all unique individuals with a light inside of us. Do we have the courage to let that light shine? It is our combined lights that will make the world a better place. The wiser we become the better our lives will be. Let’s work together to seek wisdom, plant seeds of wisdom and light a path that leads us and others to a better future.
